The training course is designed to train competent flight operations officers and to further qualify existing FOO in important key skills. Typical problematic situations in the OCC are dealt with using realistic tasks thereby strengthening essential skills. The Flight Operations Officer Training course consists of three phases, with the first two phases making up the 9 months of basic training (6 months for theory and 3 months for practical’s respectively). The third and last phase requires participants to do an examination with Uganda Civil Aviation to enable them acquire License for FOO.

• The participants will be trained on the tasks within an operations control center and subsequently tested on these tasks
• Risk analysis and assessment in daily flight operations, for example via flight performance, payload/range, navigation, weather, air traffic control, ground handling, aircraft maintenance, crew availability etc.
• Optimization processes for compliant resource allocation, for example aircraft and crew Flight-planning processes, flight data analysis, assessment and allocation of information.

Our Flight Operations Officer’s course is geared toward aviation enthusiasts without any prior training who are interested in an exciting new career at the heart of an airline. The training is also open to experienced employees from the operations side of the airline – preferably with existing flight licenses – as well as managers who are looking to provide their OCC with practical and forward-looking training.

Student will receive a Diploma upon successful completion of the final examination and a license upon passing Uganda Civil Aviation Authority examination.
